There are so many reasons why you should have an engagement session! First of all, it is a great opportunity to work with your wedding photographers, to get to know them and get comfortable in front of the camera.

Here are a few ideas:

Have your photos taken for your wedding website or engagement announcement. Use them creatively in your save-the-dates and wedding day decor, or give framed prints or albums as gifts to your families.
It can be done at a location that means something to you and makes you smile.
You can include a pet if you consider your pet as part of your family, just as we think of our dogs.
It’s great to test your hair and make-up, although we suggest you go for something slightly different from your wedding day looks.
It is a great reason to make a fun date out of it. Even if you are nervous in front of the camera, photos are fun!
You can use this time to relax before the wedding. You can get away from all the planning. But most importantly, you can have some time with your other half you want to spend the rest of your life with, and reconnect with them before the big day.

WARDROBE GUIDE

Wardrobe is one of the most important keys to amazing photos. We recommend that you wear something special like a date-night outfit. Make sure you feel confident and comfortable in the outfit you choose. You will look uncomfortable if you feel uncomfortable. It’s as simple as that.

Make sure your nails are done. Make sure that your shirt is dry-cleaned or ironed. We do not photoshop wrinkles. Make sure to use chapstick if your lips tend to be cracked or dried (men especially!) Leave your mobile phone & keys behind so they don’t stick out from your trouser pockets.

Bring your pins, hairsprays, a brush, lipstick, mirror, powder, oil remover wipes. And comfy shoes for walking if you are planning to wear heels.

THE GOLDEN HOUR

Timing is an important part of your photoshoot. The ideal time is the golden hour, which is 2-3 hours before the sunset. The weather is not a problem. If it rains, it rains. It makes an even better story and creates a better mood.

LOCATION

It doesn’t really matter to us whether it is a city session, a photoshoot on the beach, or in the mountains. Whatever you’ll go for, you two are going to be the centre of attention for us.
